I'm going to make my first open in Texas in February. I haven't flown in 22 years. Anybody got any tips on board transport luggage? I know Ace Point sells travel bags but I'm on a budget here and was wondering what my best option is for storing and flying with my board
stuff moves around. if you keep stuff loose on the playing surface - a scoreboard or clock, cups, baffle - these will be shaken about and will hit the sides of the playing surface and the surface itself.
also if hold / checked - the sides will be pushed in by the weight of other bags.
I pack clean clothes inside the board to limit the effects of the above.
just remember to unpack before you hit the game floor.
I just wrap my board in a cloth bag or towel depending on which one I'm lugging, and pop it in my case, protected by my other travel essentials.
happy travels.

And wrap anything inside your board with a cloth bag so it doesn't mess up the playing surface. Good reason to drink Crown Royal!
