What would you say is the best way to get the most out of the game. Including experience, fun, while learning at the same time?

I think the main thing would be to have fun. Don't try to be too competive...and plus you can't learn everything from a book, you do need to learn as you play. Sometimes when you make mistakes it makes it better and easier to learn.

I am a newbie myself to backgammon and online games in general, but I think that the best way to get the most out of the game is to play in a stress-free environment and simply learn the ropes as you go.
